In many ways, it is the city of Rome that is the protagonist of Angels & Demons, arguably even more so than Galileo, Bernini, Robert Langdon, Vittoria Vetra, or the camerlengo. Indeed, its stunning monuments and works of art are integral to the plot.
Considering the large part the city plays in the story, we have asked the award-winning fine art photographer and photo journalist Julie O’Connor to follow our favorite symbologist’s footsteps and share with us her images of the more important historical sites and art works that proved key to his solving the intricate plot.
